(the) Weakness Of Their Misdeeds Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

(the) Weakness Of Their Misdeeds

Difficult it is.
To retract and take back.
What one has said to another.
With druthers thoughtlessly uttered.
Spread loosely from mindless lips.

Also difficult it is to sit and listen.
With a tolerated patience.
Attempting to understand such blatant nonsense.
And also remain adult enough.
When a barrage of insults start.
With it known,
Comments yearned to return are pointless.
Staying cool although shocked.
By non-stop accusations unleashed.
Times Like These call for the gritting of teeth.
Be they real or false it doesn't matter.

Upon hearing to what is heard.
Silence is the best position to take.
Even faking to be unnerved is highly recommended.
Stay calm when evil seekers demonize the atmosphere.
By unmasking a disguised masquerade.
That reveals the truth of their wicked ways.
Yet,
Already to be known.
By one too long to have found strength,
In the keeping of one's peace of mind intact.
Knowing that,
Those too evil to comprehend...
The weakness of their misdeeds.
Become the masters of their own frustrations.
Let them know this to notice it.
Weakened to feel and believe this.
When from them you leave.
