The Whistler And The President Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

The Whistler And The President

Came the Whistler unto the Palace
Where slept the President
Where owls rude their wisdom speak.

Sang in the ranging dusk:
‘What scenarios swill there be
When long in future at this site

Have passed trillions of years
And more; and more; and more;
Scenario to scenario rattling
Civilization to new civilization'
