The Wind Of Dawn Poem by cara stone

The Wind Of Dawn

a clang through town
marked the hour of dawn
endless marsh
city no more

fog skies of blue
a hue I naught see
a bird on the wind
timekeeper for me

house of brick city of stone
a loveless life left alone
bridges of faith crumple
to dust ash remains of skin and crust
