The Winds Of Change Poem by Naomi Waters

The Winds Of Change

Hunger for power spells an addiction
A lover to deceive
Pushed to please another for pleasure
Empires are born to conquer
The ones who rule them destined to be ruthless
Kings and Queens without the luxury of mercy
Defending their lands while dinning on the blood of lose
History decides how to list their legacy's
Monuments in honor of old gods waste away to dust
Crowns once honoring powerful families hide in museums
Heroes
Tales of bravery
Turn into bedtime stories meant to be laughable
Memories fade with the centuries
The world changes
Dynasty's crumble
Nothing can be what it once was
