THE WISDOM OF THE CROW!
In each of my dark shadows lurks the wisdom of the crow,
Beguiling as temptation works wherever I might go
And subtle spectres that enthral appearing in my dreams,
Concerning both the great and small for planning future schemes.
To stand as question marks to me, is this the wisest course?
Or prophecies of what could be if leading to remorse.
The shadows twist and turn each day and twist and turn each night,
And even without words to say, they still portray my plight.
As miseries and messengers for this world and the next,
Like those that God would send us, that cause us to get vexed.
Such that we ponder and we pause, like statues standing still,
Transfixed by what transgressions cause when we ignore God's will.
As if to fly, just like the crow, to evil not to good,
As if our arms stretch out and grow and won't pray as we should.
Yes, I know well, so very well, what lurks in shadows seen,
The darkness that could lead to Hell if I don't intervene.
I stand transfixed, then choose the best, the best that I can be,
And overcome and pass the test to purge the crow in me.
