O' Damsel! Tell me that the extent of the sunshine stands equal
to either to the measure of our eyes or to the level of the horizon?
Likewise, the wise poets will not take it easy and ignore
the ocean of wisdom of other poets by seeing their small stature!

நேரிசை வெண்பா
உடலின் சிறுமைகண்(டு)ஒண்புலவர் கல்விக்
கடலின் பெருமை கடவார் - மடவரால்
கண்அளவாய் நின்றதோ காணும் கதிர்ஒளிதான்
விண்அளவா யிற்றோ விளம்பு.26 - நன்னெறி
