The Woman Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

The Woman

She walks into the fire
It is her will
Despite the social stigma
Avoidable and breakable
She does not make her
Own destiny, knowingly
She frowns at her luck
Makes a new home
With unknown clowns
Who deride her
Make her feel unfulfilled
Her childhood dreams
Lay scattered on the floor
Of a caged life
She is bold
She knows her life
Won't change ever
And she would go on
Dreaming about the sea
Where someday
She would find her pearl
She has wanted all her life
