The Worst Of Wars Poem by Jesse Potter

The Worst Of Wars

Rating: 4.0

Its a rush of the feelings, a burst of tears
A sense of fear and anger, suppressed through the years
With feelings in hand, and heart on sleeve
I seem to fall inward as you turn to leave
But you arnt leaving, merely going home
Still the fact that i am scared shakes me to the bone
My heart goes with you and my head starts to ache
Back to the real world wich all seems so fake
My times with you are great, perfect at best
But when i am far from you, i never can rest
So hear my words, feel them with your heart
You will now know i dont want us to part
As venerable as i, one who can love,
Must have seen some sign from above
So i say again, filled with conviction
A word for the wise, a man or a mission
My heart goes with you and the only key too
Keep it safe by yours
Because love really is the worst of wars
