Them Poem by Ragy Sandid

Them

Have you seen them
As everyone must have?
You must have loved them
Because one day they made you laugh?

Yes, you have and everyone has
They lived in your life
And once they smiled
You never felt the trace of the knife

They offered you solutions
That you knew will solve your problems
And once they left you
They left you a bigger problem than your problems

Always near, claiming love
Counting the tributes of logic
That they understand will help them
But you: a disappearing act of magic

When asked, the answer is
It was your choice you could've said no
That doesn't lessen the love
But it sure makes souls high and low
