There Is A Gravity To Love Divine Poem by Mohammad Younus

There Is A Gravity To Love Divine

There is a gravity to love divine;
It pulls upward lovers divine,
Into the deep musical and lightful garden;
Won't now come near to the forbidden tree;
Will stay for ever in the paradise regained;
It's the ancient Garden of eternity;
Pray for permission to be ever here,
In perpetual divine presence
I jump with joy, only to thank my God,
For raising me up again into his sanctuary of peace;
I feel elevated that God remembers me,
And allows me to circumambulate his throne;

I keep my eyes fixed on the centre while orbiting,
And chanting Labbaik Allahuma Labbaik,
In front of my omnipresent Lord.
To come out of the world of dead,
I keep on saying: my Lord, I am her
I keep on praying, please allow me to be Your friend,
Please allow me see the splendor and glory,
Of the divine presence;
A New Covenant with my Lord, I make with my lord,
My God welcomes me back to his family of friends,
Like a long-lost friend.
