There is a love
if I might say
that can be found
though once or more discarded
that others carelessly threw away
There is a love
that you might seek and find
that of childhood dreams will remind
a love given freely
love gentle and kind
There is a love
that you can lend
from deep inside somewhere
you feel another's heart
and find a friend
There is a love
that you can share
as long as two believe
it's really there
and freely share their care
There is a love
as pure and clean
as the virgin water of a mountain stream
and the spring that feeds it
lies in your heart, felt even if not seen
There is a love
that is yours to sow and reap
A hand that comforts you when you weep
and sends it's thanks while you're asleep
It is the friendship that our hearts dare to keep
