There Is No Light Left Anymore

Rating: 5.0

Darkness, that's all there is left here,
No, nothing; nothing to live for.
You, who cannot see through your tears;
There is no light left anymore.

Wake up! Why this gun against my head?
Why this noose around my neck?
Many times have I been dead,
Only to wake a sodden wreck.

Shut my eyes once more, my dear,
Return me to that other place,
The place where I know nothing but fear
Of dying; of death's dark face.

Although I dream the Dark Angel near,
I know that I'll run and hide
And then I'll punish you, my dear,
For staying so close by my side.

I smile at you, but there's nothing there,
You see, it's only a charade.
I can only but now just sit and stare,
The blank mask on my face so hard.

Take me from this damned earth;
Why prolong this dreadfulness?
It seems to me, I was a waste of birth,
My mind's such a darkened mess.

"There is light, there is hope, " you say,
But you, you just don't understand.
You fool yourself from day to day,
No, no, never, this will never end.
