There Is No Such A Thing Poem by Francis Duggan

There Is No Such A Thing

Though not every culture we know or embrace
But there is no such a thing as a superior race
Though some of their Nationality well may brag
They carry their pride in their National flag.

Patriotism and religion on their own seem quite fine
But they can become lethal when them you combine
And the love of the flag and National pride
And the sense that we cannot lose we have God on our side.

Of love of ourselves and our Nation we sing
But of a superior race there is no such a thing
Those who feel superior to others are living a lie
The proof of our equality is we all must die.

'Tis true those at the top have the furthest to fall
And before we did walk we had to learn how to crawl
And on our lives the one who has the final say
The reaper will make us all equal one day.
