there is something inside us
that we love in the same manner that we cannot love
but it is here
always inside and won't let us go
and won't let us free
and we have this struggle within
like wanting to shake off
this thing
but it will always be here whether we like it or not
and so i arrive at a concession
that will be good for me and that bad thing
learning to accept it
as part of me
and not shaking it off
like a finger
to my hand
like a parasite
to my head
like a wart
to my butt like a
splitting hair
at my tip
