There's A Doctor Poem by Gary James Smith

There's A Doctor

There's A Doctor

There's a doctor in the house...Hallelujah!
The great Physician is here
The office will remain open twenty four seven
So you will have nothing to fear
Not only your physical ailments
But anything that's stressing your mind
He has the absolute antedote
Praise God He's One of a kind

No need to leave your home
His Spirit will superintendent
No waiting line either is there
He's available always my Friend
O yes and there's reading material
You might wish to have a look
For the Author and Finisher of our faith
Is revealed in His Holy Book

Your appointment is whenever you want to
At least on this side of Heaven
But your soul can never be healed
Unless you accept the prescription given
He's the best at what He practices
For the healing of the soul
Don't leave His office with an empty feeling
When you can be feeling completely whole

Except ye repent ye shall likewise perish
A memo on the Doctor's wall
Truly take that message to heart
If you want spiritual health at all
Recognize the guilt of sin
A burden too heavy to bare
The great Physician is asking you to come
Bring your burdens to the Lord and leave them there!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
