There's A Penetrating Oil Poem by Gary James Smith

There's A Penetrating Oil

There's A Penetrating Oil

There's a Penetrating oil
And it's called the Holy Spirit
It can loosen up your joints
And help you to God's Word fear it
It knows the crevices of sin
Their mark's have left their traces
Not only on our inward parts
But some outwardly on our faces

The application is in the Word
Don't just be a hearer
But be a doer of the Word
And the Lord He will draw nearer
You can be a well oiled saint
Walking in the Spirit
Full of faith and jubilant
Because you loved to hear it

Nothing penetrates like the Spirit
We can know the fullness thereof
When we repented of our sin
We felt the Father's love
Surrounded by His Holy presence
Surrendered to His will
The deep deep love of Jesus Christ
By His Spirit penetrates still!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
