There's A Storm On The Horizon Poem by Gloria Comingore

There's A Storm On The Horizon

My wife whispered in my ear there’s a storm on the horizon.
Dear would you like to make love in the rain?
Would you hold my close as the storm passes by?
Would you like to make love to me for every storm that comes our way?
As the lights go out and the candles flames are flickering about.
My wife whispers in my ear there’s a storm on the horizon
As she takes my hand in hers my husband you’ll always be.
Soul mates from the first day we met and still yet today.
Will you make me laugh forever in a day.
As the storm sounds of thunder and lighting pass our way?
My wife whispers in my ear there’s a storm on the horizon.
We promised to be lovers when we married.
We promised to be together through thick and thin.
We promised to be friends forever when we put rings on our fingers.
We promised it would be us against all else.
My wife whispered in my ear there’s a storm on the horizon.
Will you make love to me as the rain drops on the roof?
Will you tell me your dreams as we hold onto each other?
Will you make my dreams come true as we our making love?
Will you love me when I’m old as you do now?
My wife whispers in my ear there’s a storm on the horizon.
I tell her as I take her hand in mine that we will make love.
In all storms that come our way
I’ll hold you forever in a day.
I will love you more tomorrow than today.
My wife whispers in my ear there’s a storm on the horizon.
