There's Always A Light - Poem by Aaron Distler

I think my time has come,
to finally say goodbye.
Noone will understand,
they'll only wonder why.
This pain inside is too much,
I can't take anymore.
There's no point in going on,
cause there's nothing to live for.
I close my eyes one last time
knowing its about to end,
Trying not to think about
what I'm doing to my family and friends.
With my eyes closed tight
the darkness surrounds me,
Then I realized light will never get through
if I don't open my eyes and see.
Of course everything is dark
if my eyes are closed tight.
But just open my eyes
and I will always see the light.
When things get the worst
It could end up being the best.
Just hold on and remember,
It's all just a giant test.
