There Will Always Be Poem by Francis Duggan

There Will Always Be

The majority of the super wealthy will be of the few
And this is not saying anything that is new
And there will always be many in dire poverty
This is how it is and it always will be
There will always be droughts and famines and war
Where young soldiers will die fighting from their homes afar
Though people grow older and time ticks on fast
Modern leaders are not learning from mistakes of the past
Between those who have and have not in Countries Worldwide
We always will have this social divide
As the gap between the wealthy and the poor ever does seem to grow
Of equality and peace in the Human World of we never may know
In technology and science so many changes for the better that one can name
But in most other things as they were things remain the same.
