They Call Me Misery Poem by Bill Simmons

They Call Me Misery

Rating: 5.0

They call me misery
Just look around and you will see
A heart in despair, it no longer cares
Feel that pain, yeah, I'm right there
Yeah, it's me
I am misery

I come when you least expect
I mostly like the dark
I take that heart that you love so much
And I tear it all apart
Oh yeah, I am free
I am misery

I don't cost a single dime
And I’ll come, I got the time
You sleep at night, I’ll fix that
I’ll bring on the pain right where you're at
I’ll make you walk all night those floors
I don't care if your rich or poor

Oh yeah, I'm misery
And I always got the time
I’ll make every tear fall I can
Do all I can to blow your mind
I’ll do all I can to rip your world apart
My dinners is just an aphrodisiac
My supper the broken heart

Yeah, I can take it on
Yeah, I can bring it home
See that tear upon your face
That’s me, I work alone
I suffer the lonely heart…
You’ll know it when I start.

a brutal meditation in the best sense of the word if that's possible the terror so clearly felt and expressed suffering becomes real in this fine poem
