They Dance And Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

They Dance And

They dance and

They dance and
I stand in distance
All covered; through hole
I sneak and observe everyone
One dances ‘Baba Karam'
Another ‘Belly dance'
One is good with ‘Salsa'
Another is great in ‘Cha-Cha'
But best are love dances
‘On the ice' and the ‘Waltz'.

Young and light, and weightless
They change things, are shameless
No clothes, no cover
One can see each angle
Hands and feet
Nose, fingers
Everywhere
Everywhere!

Then they fall making love
On top of each other
In open, see our eyes
They have their own army
Covering the ground
They become bed-sheet and
Thick quilts, blankets.

That is when want to run
Hug them, kiss; even bite
Hold them till they melt in
My hands to water-drops
Falling down from nose
And eyelids, eyebrows
Which are white like themselves
Do not ask of my hair
My head is painted bright
As mummy; thousands-years!

Sure lovely is snow
When dances, falls and lands.
