They Didn't Come Poem by ANJANDEV ROY

They Didn't Come

When I called them,
They didn't come,
But when I didn't call them,
They came,
Being surprised,
I asked them the reason of it,
They made a peculiar gesture
And haughtily said to me,
"Life has taught us
To do the opposite."
