The young bard writes,
He soars high with the wings of poesy,
But soon the severe reality drags him in the dingy earth,
He cries and cries in deep pain and resentment.
When he becomes tired,
Someone Whispers to his ears,
"Don't cry, dear friend!
This is the tragic fate of all the poets,
But they can meditate deeply for a long time
And can successfully create a tranquil poetic realm only for themselves
From where no one can dethrone them then,
Take lesson from those eminent men and write."
A master piece! I love reading this magnificent piece of poetry time and again! Keep writing....keep it up!
A good message for poet fraternity and aspiring poets and explaining them the greatness of the talent that can not be counted or measured in materialistic sense. Congrats on the poem of the day.
Congrats dear poet friend...an apt poem to be selected as poem of the day...
1) Everywhere, also in poesy, honesty is the best policy, I reckon. You created excellent poem to be discussed about. Very valuable experience, for all poets, no matter age. Brilliant thought provoking poem, most deserved the MPOTD. CONGRATULATIONS. Indeed discussing poetry, like in a class for literature, is advisable. It improves our knowledge about poetry and its background. For instance " bard" is often used in Shakespeare time
I've been deep in that dingy soil and I'll take your advice! *****
Writing is a long and arduous journey. Writing doesn't always take you to the sky. It can bring you down too. But don't give up writing. A great message. Kudos!
The flight of a bird has no imitators among the earthbound. The flight of a poet has no imitators among the literal-minded. The creation is extended and rounded out by the flights of different kinds of beings. So I agree, poets have a special realm of being.
