They Don't Know Poem by Shelly-Ann Legg

They Don't Know

Rating: 4.5

Every time I think of you
Tears begin to fall, pretty hurts
That could be true
But love hurts worst

Just because my eyes don't show tears
Doesn't mean I don't cry
Not because you see me smiling
Doesn't mean you should just pass me by

I may look proud and strong
But it doesn't mean nothing is wrong
So often I'm forced to pretend to be happy
When the truth is everything is so crappy

I hate explaining to those who can't understand
What it means to lend a helping hand
Inspite of everything I try to be glad
Smiling has been easier then explaining why I'm sad
