They Don'T Poem by Sarah Green

They Don'T

The people run from you,
They don't know the truth,
They only know the Lie.

They can't believe it was him.
They can't believe their 'hero' is a killer.
They just don't want to hurt the community.

They don't want it in the news.
They don't care about the truth.
They just want peace.

They don't want to explain it.
'Hero' of small town kills six.
They don't want it in the headlines.

No one will visit.
No one will call.
No one wants to know.

No one can see what he really is.
