They'Re All Just As Guilty As Me Poem by Jade Baker

They'Re All Just As Guilty As Me

Please don’t believe,
In all that they say,
Remember they’re all just as guilty as me,
I know that it’s hard,
But I never wanted it to be this way,
Sometimes we’re forced to do something,
That sacrifices what we stand for,
I’ve seen it a hundred times before,
But I never thought I’d be the one,
To cause so much pain,
To be the one held to blame,
I never thought it would have to be like this,
I always believed that the truth would set you free,
But now I see,
That it was never going to be,
They’re all just as guilty as me,
So when they say that I was the one,
Just remember I was once loved,
I was once loved by you,
And if you could find it in your heart,
To tear the lies apart,
To forgive what I’ve become,
It’s not what I’ve done,
And one day they will see,
That I sacrificed it all for nothing,
They’re all just as guilty as me
