They Were My Elder? Poem by Red Trex

They Were My Elder?

It's an odd to feel the estrangement of a family member.

You don't know them but you know they are linked by heritage.

They may as well be a a mythical person living big stories. Big tales of wonder. A curious figure.

What were they like?
What are they like?
Who will they be?

I think I should judge them for myself. Find their number. Remove the etched reality told to me like a cartoon strip.

They are a person after all.
