Train tracks exist for a reason.
Such heavy and useful things that carry precious cargo need to know that the route they are on will never change.
However there are points where these tracks converge, pass over, and continue down the line.
Imagine the load that track switch has to carry. It needs to be prepared and withstand all the wheels that cross over it.
One false start or crooked point and only havoc ensues. It cannot afford to buckle.
At this point is it not just tolerating the heft. It is bearing that weight so each locamotive can continue riding through while sharing the grace and beauty of its presents.
Such tremendous beauty.
