Thief Poem by Shaa Shaa

Thief

It takes a single ring and I'm thrust in a world of thought,
your words take me somewhere else,
a place of ancient wisdom,
a land of endless possibility,
I cling to your words as I cling to life.

Deep in thought I sore the clouds above,
dark, shimmering night in all its majesty,
the cold bites but dares not touch my being,
for within a fire burns vigorously,
fueled by words mesmerizing.

Want you to go on,
need you to go on,
your words give me solace, gives me company that no one else can,
as you keep going I'm suddenly lost
trapped in your realm.

Once again your voice has lured me here,
but this time you're victorious,
you've stolen my mind like a thief in the dark night,
and all I seem to think about is you,
and as we end the call I'm anxious waiting for the next.
