Things Do Not Remain The Same Poem by Hebert Logerie

Things Do Not Remain The Same

Things do not remain the same
The globe is turning and turning
Les choses ne restent pas les mêmes
We are constantly changing, changing
Our color changes. Blacks and whites
Change color. Sunrays, sun lights
Have an effect on all of us
Some of us get darker, others lighter. Thus
Dust, dirt and the air have an effect
On all of us. I know that I am correct
If color matters to you, then I smell
Troubles. You're in trouble. You'll fail
Miserably. People change all the time
Change is good. Changing is not a crime
We become different. We grow and improve
We get better or worse and cannot disapprove
Stay on the right side of the road
It's safer. It's the best way to protect the load.
