Third Time The Charm Poem by Randy McClave

Third Time The Charm

They say that the third time is the charm
And it's always the third time as I have read,
So, to believe in it there is no harm
From what others have swore and written and said.

I have already been married and divorced twice
And I am not thinking about marrying ever again,
I don't think that I will roll the matrimonial dice
But, if I did I guess this time I'd be guaranteed a win.

Third time is the charm they all do say
I wonder sincerely is that really honest and true,
Is to have allure much better than to pray
But, I would love to hear a spouse say, "I forever love you".

I have been married twice already
And currently I don't even have a desire or a girlfriend,
I am not even thinking about it said lonely me
So, I guess I won't be able to carry on the trend.

Of course I have had a couple relationships
But, they were hurtful and hateful I will say without lies,
They were ended with a hating heart and cursing lips
Does that mean my next relationship will be a prize.

The third time is the charm they all have written
Does that true love for me still beckon,
What if I meet her and once again I am smitten
And, what if I am her first, or maybe her second.
