Third Time Poem by Randy McClave

Third Time

They say that the third time is always the luckiest
That is meant for everyone and not only the pluckiest,
After a failed second try I will not try at a third chance
Whether in dares or gambling, or the sweet pursuit of romance.

I have erred twice before so why should I try it again
My common knowledge says no, to that maybe, slender win,
Others said that I should give it just one more try
But, If you're rejected twice already, a third time, why?

So, I agreed and I will try it just one more time
Figuratively to the top of the mountain I will climb,
So, I went forward and of course with my doubt and stress
I asked her again, surprisingly this time she said yes.

They say that the third time is always the charm
Which to me was told, that it would do me no harm,
So, a third time I decided and for the third time I got married
A while later, I was used, then broke, then to an asylum I was carried.
