Thirty Orbits And One-To S.T. Poem by Julio 2 Amarante

Thirty Orbits And One-To S.T.

Negative space, forms without escape,
Interlaced room where we have once inhabited
Early love, dangerous decisions at a fast pace.
Thirty plus one orbits, our marriage celebrated.

Eons of rightfully due apologies never offered,
A daughter made stronger than carbon steel,
So many time to spend and not a minute to make you feel.

If I ever knew how weak, till this day, I would be seen,
I would have never implemented that union of two.
Clearly now I see how it could have been,
And still we would be parents of you know who.

If I regret it, no, no, it was my honour, my friend, my truth.
Incantations so beautifully inlaid, one eventful day,
So sad it has not arrived before, this apology,
An inner truth out of this blue, a relevant piece of me.

The day we once stood side by side,
Where I spoke some words to a bride.
Which upon today stand

At the falsehood of the altar
Of my broken intentions.
So clearly defined by this broken,
Intertwined, empty space.
