This Christmas Evening In Montreal Poem by Hebert Logerie

This Christmas Evening In Montreal

It's snowing, it's raining
I am happy, jolly
This Christmas evening
Even though I feel lonely
I'm attending the midnight mass
To pray, to avoid being harassed.

Ice is falling
It's not a sacrilege
I am outside, out there
To breathe fresh and clean air
It's a privilege
It's raining, it's snowing.

It's raining, it's stormy
It's not autumn
It's wintry
Santa Claus does not dress in green
But rather in red and white
It's snowing. It's a delight.

It's snowing, it's raining
The weather is just right
It's Christmas night
The little Jesus is born
The stars are in Heaven
We can see them flickering.
