This Flat Earth Poem by Sailing to windward

This Flat Earth

In bitter sweet memory,
the horizon never appeared
to get any closer
and he voyaged in love, blissfully.
Until, from the foaming crest
of one stormy wave,
he plunged to oblivion.
She had lied.
The Earth was flat after all.
