This Horrible Prison
In this room
In this house
It feels like a prison
Every day I have risen.
These walls around me
Bring no comfort
When I'm in here
They feel so near.
I hear birds sing
I see squirrels run
I watch trees grow
I watch the water flow.
The dreams I have
Are my only comfort
Oh great moon
I feel so gloom.
My height is tall
Yet I feel low
My eyes are full of pain
Now watch as they rain.
