This I Know For Sure Poem by James Darwin Smith II

This I Know For Sure

Hey Mr. College graduate
You think you are smarter than me?
All because you relied on the machine
Reading all of their books
Stories of being mental crooks
Never coming up with your own philosophy
Being a slave to the limits of all society's masses
Inheriting everything, Apathetic to nothing
King of the hubris
Jester of the dubious
Glee of the malice
Drinking from a golden chalice
Being a cowardly phallus upon small minded fallacy
Looking down upon me
Thinking how low I am
Because I am not like you
Sitting on the throne of the backs you stabbed
The destiny's you skewed
All for the power and greed
For your ego you always need to feed
By building yourself a pedestal
Feeling rather invincible
Because so many worship you
For all the things that you have
The love you buy
The ways you fake crying
Master of lying
Ruler of denying
Forger of hearts left dying
Never having to start trying
Everything all in front
Grabbing it all with a golden spoon
Eating everything
Spitting the scraps down to the oppressed
Over breathing every last breathe
Savoring yourself
Creating depression
For those who will never pass the test
Of being elite at the top
Being all amongst the best
Creating confidence
With tainted support
Only to use up any other resource
Polluting minds towards
Quick dreams
So their nightmares can be even worst
The narcissist of your own self worth
Spoiled since birth
Yet, you are an expert
On how everyone should run their lives
Do you have a heart?
How do you event stay alive?
Soul of blatant carnage
Towards those full of promise
Only to shove those in need down
So they can form a mountain of pain
Climbing on all of their shame
Laughing on
Upon this life you call a game
As you are amongst the self-proclaimed masters
Creating each disaster
To profit in great strides
Killing earnest dreams
Manufacturing love
To the lowest bidding soul
Pimping out your left overs
To those who kiss up to you the most
Those upon your command
Drown in shame
Blaming the wounded
Then you wake up
Thinking of yourself as a god
As those you look down upon in disdain
Wash and wash and wash your neck choking feet
Oh, how great it has to be the king of deceit
When the only calling in life is to prey on the weak
The sick and the self-esteemed obsolete
Depleted characters limping with your mud on their feet
As you play of a god of the fools
Because you think god is you
And the world revolves around
Everything you say and do
Everyday thinking your dreams always come true
Yet you are the nightmare that creates other to have to lose
All of what they have ever worked for
Once balanced now too poor
Keeping the score
High fiving your elitist bros
And going to exploit your trophy at home
Till becomes too old
And the next product is in the fold
It is alright you are rich
You can always be so bold
Because chaos wants you in control
And it wants you to punish the world even more
So what have you?
Fortune made on the banquet of the poor
The middle class you hope to destroy
So your greed can build more
Mind manipulative woe
A new world is built indoors
Behind closed doors
By those with no heart nor souls
Minds stuck inside greed
Those whom have never heard the word no
And then people wonder why
We are where we are today
Look at us we are all lab rats
Being told where to go
And the world is so incomplete
What is next?
Is there even more?
I guess time will eventually show
If only it was not so damn slow
And then another bad ending
Then the credits role
And all gets to repeat again
Everything takes its toll
Towards all that is pure
Who is keeping score?
No, I do not want to really know
Where there is a blow out
In the wind of time concedes
As the enemies rule
With tyrants fist divulge
The victims will never truly be home
As long as the greedy have too much land
To proclaim their own
As no one says a fighting word again
In this land of false pretence
Where justice can no longer defend itself anymore
Take a seat
Society's ready to disown you
As you have dripped your last hard working blood
In a sweat sweltering disease of a delusional cause
Pollution will always have a home
In mind and every place on earth roamed
Who is ready to star in their own role
in a movie full of cruel intention?
No empathy for those who feel alone
As judgement takes its toll
On those who are left out in the cold
Being kicked hard in the teeth regularly
In a world where the elite run on the backs
Of every last punishing woe
When will society lash out?
When will it say it cannot take it anymore?
I guess only fate can decide all of that
Education is nothing to behold
When it is fixed against the poor
And the already full demand even more
Everything is out of control
Everything is out of control
Where is the heart of reason anyone?
A revolution must be grown
What is the next step?
Where do we go from here?
Soon I hope to learn for sure
Everyone deserves a better place
Not just the elite
The owners of everything
And even more
Are we still going to pretend nothing happens?
As our future lays it all on the line
When will the threshold form?
The word needs change of course
Where do we even begin?
This is what I would like to know
Education needs to be for everyone
Not for those who are giving grant
Of a fake gold plated spoon performance
On the brink of shallow scourge
Courage may you show us your true form
Take us to places we never knew existed
As we take a stand against greed's disease
Never again having to fight all alone
We got this
Our education from the pain
We have felt in each of our own
The empathy we never let go
As we fight
Our suffrage will be known
As the battle cry for destiny to come home
We should never have to walk alone
It is our job to take care of us all
Truly educated by our own gift of love
For those who are hurt and left out of the cold
We are not just ourselves, We are everyone
No matter what anyone looks like
Everyone is all our own
Education is more than just schooling
It is living in every way shape or form
Let us all take a stand on our own accord
We shall never leave each other in the cold
As our hearts shall reign side by side
With our souls
To a place where
No one should ever be left alone
We all exist in one form or another
Upon our own merits and our roles
We are all somebody, someone
Now let us all take control
This world needs us now more than ever
No one should ever be left alone
No one should ever be left alone
This I know for sure
No one should ever be left alone
Indeed so
This I know for sure
