Ah, this is how I think of you -
as sparkling rain, the morning dew,
and dancing leaves on branches spread
soft gossamer as fine-spun thread.
Fluttering wings on butterflies,
blue sapphires set in smiling eyes,
as Nightingales on feathered wings
surrounded by all tender things.
And in the darker realms of night
I think of you there glowing bright -
full brighter than each shining star
as fixed above the Earth, so far.
And this is how I think of you
when up to higher realms you flew,
as Angels traced on misty clouds
enwrapped in iridescent shrouds.
There flick'ring like a dancing flame -
and I will ever speak your name,
upon my lips forever set -
for never shall I e'er forget.
