This Is Our Time Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

This Is Our Time

This world is hard, a heavy load,
With rules and lies on every road.
They try to break, to make us fear,
To lose the self we hold so dear.

But deep inside, a spark does gleam,
A part of God, a waking dream.
What we do matters, not just what we know,
To plant a seed and help it grow.

The sun now burns a harsher white,
The Earth's a charge, filled with new light.
The powers that were, they push and fight,
To keep us lost in endless night.

Our very selves are changing fast,
As cosmic winds begin to blast.
This shift is rough, a hard-won prize,
Through tear-filled, yet awakened eyes.

No savior comes to set us free,
The power lies in you and me.
Look deep within, with gentle grace,
And find the love in time and space.

The darkness tries, it pulls and pleads,
But light within fulfills our needs.
So feel the pain, then let it go,
And in that space, new seeds will grow.

This is our time, to learn and rise,
Reflected in each other's eyes.
The Earth's a test, a fire bright,
To forge us into purest light.
