This Is The Cost Poem by Christina Ross

This Is The Cost

A young girl cries alone at night
Left with a broken heart
She wants so badly to let go
She has repeatedly fallen down
But this time she has no hope or wish of getting up.
The pain so much
Too hard to bear...
She finally collapses into a silent scream
No one will ever hear.
Her rapid pulse building - the chills coming so strong
Her blood freezes in black veins
As the blade pierces her skin
She now controls the paion
A secret sufferin no one knows
A dark present brings a crushing future.
A gasp.
One last tear.
Iced blood spreads across the floor...
This is the cost:
Of all you have done.
