This Is The Moment Poem by Linda Hepner

This Is The Moment

Rating: 5.0

He thought he’d trick her taking her the long way round
to hide from her the cars lined up outside,
but driving merrily he teased with sound:
he hummed This is the Moment, which completely fried

his great intention, have the guests leap forth, Surprise!
So all his plots like pots fell quite apart;
thus discombobulation undoes ties
so neatly planned and knotted, left-brained like his heart.

This was the moment he’d not waited for and she
could only laugh because her life is not
the least bit logical, in fact her key
is Unexpected Happens; there’s no plan or plot

that can’t be altered flowing within aim and theme,
and only one thing matters: just believe;
for in his right brain things aren’t what they seem,
illogical yet knotted, hearts that interweave.
