This Is Where Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

This Is Where

This is where

Am looking at pictures
See me walk with Ernest.

His mother, Loyola
Was captured
Kept in jail…

Pregnant…

When in pain, was taken
To give birth under watch
In city's hospital…

Can see him pointing:
"This where she gave birth
And this is where father
Was kept and was tortured
And never did return…"

And we walk
He, drunk

And people laugh at him
Since he is "A No One"
Even if his mother
Was tortured for El Che
And has lost his father
For sake of their people…

I play video
Loyola explains:
"I went and met with Che
Then returned…"

Now, after many years
And having done research
And having been to where
She sat and talked with Che
And knowing Tania
And many of killed, Caught
I see things different…
