This Is Love... Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

This Is Love...

This is love…

Once I thought I know love
I bought books, read through
to define…

I read of butterflies
I read of animals
(Varied kinds) .

"Some females eat the male, "
and so on and so on, on and on…
of trees and ivies tying tight
out of love…

But things changed of mankind
desire, and mating…
having sex became love
fruits' taste and the bites
and the suit and dress
even car…became love…

"Oh my God…where am I? "

But two birds
penguin and eagle
in news and comments
came to change new thoughts.

I shouted: "I was right."
"Love is faith as I thought."
in taking the burden
to thank and to devote…

Says news: "every year
comes, returns
to visit the old man;
its savour…Penguin."
and the same in BC, is true
Golden Eagle comes, visits.

"This is love…"
wish I was one of them.
