Everything that grows this life applaud!
as nature it is but mortal and dread
so this presents a real matter of pride
that living today not it is by bread
the lot this life takes, on it reflect!
the past is but the scroll of this nature
that you need not shame but read in exact
the foot of the departed that plead mature
so such modern gen nurture in past extract
and compare not this drear to future bits
And being a civilian bless the Lord much
As this age not of spearing kind and drum beats
Not as Shaka predominant or ides of March
But an age of scary future’s iniquities
And the gender racial inequalities.
I LIKE THIS POEM IT SPEAKS ABOUT REAL ISSUES IN LIFE I LIKE IT MAN
You have thought well on life's issues before writing this and it flows with recommendation - - it has a certain charm too - - so I give this ten and say I look forward to more from you Clemence - - 10 and best wishes from Fay....
