This Love Poem by Celene Bonin

This Love

This love I wish to uphold
Is lethal to behold
With its coagulating desire
That I hope will never tire
Impossible dreams
Become intellectual schemes
Longing the warmth of your embrace
Letting our lives interlace
Hopes to forget the past pain
Letting love descend over us like rain
Waiting for your caress
That I wish to repossess
All our fears of the past
Will purge at last
You feel so real
With your kiss all my scars will heal
Could this just be an illusion?
Surrounded by fear and confusion
Is this what is right?
Will you show me the light?
That I have perceived
A fantasy that I had so long believed
Has this fantasy finally shown true?

And revive itself as new?
I have found new life
Hidden in a strife
You are my every breath
Saving me from my living death
In your arms I am alive
With you I feel I can finally survive
To find a love so divine
This love is something I cannot resign
It lives inside of me
Never to leave me be
Residing in my soul
Taking me as a whole
Enduring every obstruction
Omitting every destruction
Impaling every defiance
Recovering the radiance
Requiring vengeance on darkness
Sought Deliverance from eternal wretchedness
Obliterating by an enchanted flare
Soon becoming quite aware
Of its beauty refined tranquility
Bestowed upon by angelic royalty
