This Perfect Tapestry Poem by Katheryn Foley

This Perfect Tapestry

I miss the feel of your hands,
Rough but soft they handled me well,
I miss the taste of your silk lips,
Locking me in tight,
Warm, ridding every fright,
When I wake up to a bad dream,
I long to have you hold me and tell me everything is okay,
You leave me breathless,
With nothing left to say,

Together our love will power,
Opening, blooming like a flower,
Stronger than the wind,
It will take us for a spin,
Through time and space,
Altogether to a better place,

An apartment somewhere warm,
Where are dreams can become,
True as reality.
Together a perfect tapestry,
Our lives, our hearts as one,
Ending one long journey,
We are done,
Only to begin another.
