This Puppy In My Heart

you have a bird in your heart wanting to fly
you said
you keep it
closed your heart and you are too soft for that

mine is a puppy
a black one, coy and gentle and
wags its small, short tail always when i see it
i open my heart and set it free
since then
i am so empty and as you see i become so tough since then
