Through country roads in the darkness of my memories
To Carlisle and Concord
In pathways of ancient silence
And the ghostly breezes that drift through the pine woods
In midnight's unreachable miles
Drive I onward in the darkness
Intrepid traveler on this road of memories
Through Wayland, Natick and Sherborn
Past stagecoach roads and graveyards
And the rustle of Autumn leaves
The memories of all of I've known
Drown in mystery fathoms of forgotten
Beneath Time's passing indifference.
