This Was My Destiny - Poem by Mawia Ahmad

We were so much in love,
Life couldn't get any better,
Felt like you were sent from above,
Thought we'd be together forever,

I gave you all that I had,
I treated you like a king,
Was I not enough for you,
I put you before everything,

Too many hearts have been broken,
Too many harsh words you have spoken,
You caused me such pain,
It's a miracle that I'm still sane,

After all this you want me back,
That's just not possible,
We've been through so much,
We've taken such a deep fall,

Sometimes I wish I could still be with you,
And all that happened wasn't true,
But deep down in my heart,
I know it's best for us to be apart,

I though you were the one for me,
It's hard to let you go,
Now your just a memory,
This was my destiny,

God wants what's best for me,
That's why he took me out of this misery,
Don't know what his got planned for me,
All I know is that you and I are history,

You have expressed so well another's pain.
If children are involved then it is so much harder. Men are not the be all.... May she now truly live
    Thank you Mawia

Divorce is usually more painful for one. Thanks, Mawia (Report) Reply
