Those Eyes Poem by Barry Van Allen

Those Eyes

I have seen a pair of eyes,
a pair that has seen the light of many days,
and seen the path to follow through the haze.

I have seen a pair of eyes,
deep enough to see in them ,
the borders of the mind behind them.
and the thoughts that beg them search.

Oh! , those sapphire eyes,
gleaming with the love within the heart,
and bounding with the strength to follow through.

Through those sweet-shine eyes,
the world was reflected,
and my soul was resurrected.

I never would have thought,
that that is all that it would take,
to turn this man to jelly!

What kind of jelly? Liked the repeated lines/emphasis on the eyes. -chuck
